The Girl with Twenty-one Faces
I cracked my spine in twenty-one places
and broke my hand in two;
I lost my mind and all its clever thoughts
thinking only of you.
I kissed until my lips became as ash
and fell onto the ground;
I whispered infinite into your ear
until I lost the sound.
I loved a girl with twenty-one faces,
wishing she had been you.
