100x450 - 41 - i am the shark and water

ACT I, SCENE I

[An upscale apartment living room.]

WOMAN: You have to take her.

MAN: Why? You were the one who wanted her in the first place.

WOMAN: Quality of care. You're better for the job. I work ten hours a day, but if you have the time to watch everything we Tivo then you have the time to take care of her.

MAN: You're being ridiculous. This isn't a numbers game. This is about everything else, under the surface, like those sharks who prowl in shallow waters.

WOMAN: And I am the shark, and I am the water.
