100x450 - 26 - the history of last night's calamari

Once upon a time, there was a baby squid and a mother squid.

The baby squid says, "I hate it here! I hate being afraid of the killer whales and I hate eating shrimp every day. I'm swimming away and you can't stop me!"

The mother squid replies, "I will protect you from the killer whales. I will bring you the most delicious fish from the deepest oceans. And if you swim away I will swim after you, because you are my child."

The baby squid felt better, but then they were both caught by fishermen and made into calamari.
