100x450 - 11 - when we mourn we mourn earnestly

Although a city may have hundreds of thousands or millions of people, communities have ways of bonding together whether they want to or not. It may be that they all disagree with the way the city is misappropriating their taxpayer dollars, or they definitely agree that the street-cleaners should come on Wednesday mornings instead of Monday afternoons.

One Wednesday morning, someone wrapped Christmas lights around a tree in front of a house. The house belonged to a family whose son had committed suicide two days earlier, on a Monday afternoon. The community made sure the Christmas lights never went down.
