100x450 - 04 - the littlest nightmares still can scare

Every day, my house tilts a little more to the west. Sometimes I lay awake at night wondering why it tilts. Was it built on a sinkhole, and if so, can I sue the contractors, the builders, maybe the city, for restitution? Reparations? Emotional damages?
Maybe it wasn't built on a sinkhole. Maybe while I'm asleep, hundreds of little gnomes born out of the nightmares of children and the elderly come out of their burrows, out of their cities of dust and dirt, and dig the support out from underneath the western half of my house.
Maybe I'm just insane.
